*|FNAME|* 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇬🇱<p>Listened to my first episode of the Elbows Up podcast and it was all about Canadian cybersecurity and steps we could take in the event that the <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/TradeWar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TradeWar</span></a> devolves into more direct cyberattacks on Canada by the US. Their expert, Jesse Hirsh, had some good points to make about how Canada could respond and how we could leverage home-grown talent.</p><p>I was disappointed however that they then pointed to Mr. Hirsh’s BlueSky account, gave a Gmail email address for feedback, and steered folks to their Facebook group. They at least acknowledged the irony of this. 🤦♂️</p><p>Interestingly, Hirsh does seem to have a Mastodon account (<span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://tldr.nettime.org/@metaviews" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>metaviews</span></a></span>) but hasn’t posted to it in a couple of months. 🫤</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/ElbowsUp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ElbowsUp</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/ElbowsUpPodcast" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ElbowsUpPodcast</span></a></p><p>Link: <a href="https://elbows-up.simplecast.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">elbows-up.simplecast.com</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
