Wie die DUH auf die Zahl kommt, ist mir nicht klar. Eine Quelle oder Berechnungsmethode wird nicht angegeben.</p><p>Vermutlich soll sich das auf den aktuellen Bericht "Europe’s air quality status 2024" der European Environmental Agency (<a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/EEA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EEA</span></a>) [2] beziehen. Allerdings passen die Zahlen nicht zusammen. Die EEA berechnet für ganz Europa nur 240000 vorzeitige Todesfälle pro Jahr. Warum davon ca. 40% in Deutschland auftreten sollen, ist mir ein Rätsel.</p><p>In ihrem älteren Bericht von 2022 [3] kam die <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/EEA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EEA</span></a> für Deutschland auf völlig andere Zahlen:</p><p>28900 durch PM2.5<br>10000 durch NO2</p><p>Das sind durch PM2.5 und NO2 zusammen nicht einmal halb so viele wie die DUH behauptet.</p><p>Es ist auch nicht anzunehmen, dass das seit 2020 mehr geworden sind. Die Luftverschmutzung (und auch die Zahl der vorzeitigen Todesfälle) in Europa ist in den letzten 20 Jahren kontinuierlich gesunken. In Deutschland sank die durchschnittliche Feinstaubbelastung von 2013 bis 2023 um 46% [2].</p><p>Von daher frage ich mich schon, was die DUH hier treibt. Zumal sich Deutschland bei der Luftverschmutzung innerhalb der EU am unteren Ende der Skala bewegt.
