SynAck the Employed! :facepalm:So it looks like my journey into being an actual ronin is nearly complete. My <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/dojo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#dojo</a> has lost its space once again. This time, we're giving it up rather than being forced out, but it's because we can't afford it and the landlord is being difficult to work with.We never really recovered after the pandemic lockdowns and with the combination of one of our last remaining students moving away, another one experiencing some injuries and also traveling at various times over the summer, and our Sensei also traveling all summer, it's just not reasonable for us to keep the space if I'm going to be the only one around to use it.So now we'll be in a catch-22: we need more students in order to secure a space, but we need a space to get more students. This dojo started out with my sensei doing workouts in the park, so maybe we're headed back there. Or maybe my garage. I dunno what's going to happen but unless we can figure out how to rebuild our ranks or find someone that is willing to really work with us until we can do so, I think we're going to be itinerant for the foreseeable future.I have feelings about this and I'm going to have to figure out what I'm going to do for the future. Structural hierarchy prevents me from saying what I really feel, but I think this is what "quiet quitting" looks like in non-work areas.
