Waterfall at Peter Tavy coombe last week, #Dartmoor, #Devon. #photography #mosstodon I love doing these slow shutter photos of water… when I first fell ill I couldn’t arrange a tripod to do them and I missed it dreadfully. Eventually I got a mini tripod and a lightweight SLR and that worked ! Far from being a special effect it’s one of the oldest forms of photography, the early cameras didn’t have any shutter speeds, the lens cap was taken off and a stopwatch was used.
Everything looks so lovely at the moment, here’s a collage of flowers taken on my wheelchair drive on Sunday. Bluebells, blackthorn, new oak leaves, apple blossom and red campion. #Devon #photography #spring

An area of Bronze Age stone rows, cairns and menhirs. There are three principal stone rows, each with its barrow and terminal menhir. Nearby (in pic 3) is the large but damaged cairn known as Giant's Basin.

Devonport Leat, Dartmoor, Devon
One of two aquaducts on this leat, constructed in the 1790s to carry fresh drinking water from the high ground of Dartmoor to the expanding dockyards at Plymouth Dock (later renamed Devonport). Superceded by Burrator reservoir, although some water from the leat is diverted into it.
