Like, scoring a goal as an attacker? Sure, feels good.
But as a defender, knowing that you just BENT SOMEONE’S REALITY for 90 minutes so that they felt not like the predator/poacher they walked on wanting to be, but a penned sheep?

I also realise that this same personality trait was what I took pride in as a footballer.
Defence all the way: shut the predators down. Use presence, space & psychology to strip all their choices away. Force them to act out of urgency; capitulate or retreat. Protect the goalie.
No feeling like it.
