Cameron MacLeod<p>Anti-cycling politicians and drivers say "put bikes on secondary streets". But what happens when that is actually proposed for 6 blocks on a secondary street? Lies about the change, lawn signs demanding that bike lanes not be installed, and petitions which claim looking for pedestrians and cyclists and drivers is too much work. Not joking.</p><p>Read more in <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mas.to/@thelocal" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>thelocal</span></a></span>: <a href="https://thelocal.to/marlee-avenue-bike-lane/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">thelocal.to/marlee-avenue-bike</span><span class="invisible">-lane/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Toronto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Toronto</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/TOPoli" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TOPoli</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/CycleTO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CycleTO</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/BikeTO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTO</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Eglinton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Eglinton</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Marlee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Marlee</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Caronto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Caronto</span></a></p>
