Day 2 of the quillwork medallion workshop, finished.

Quillwork medallion I worked on and finished during a weekend workshop at my tribe. Held with birchbark and leather string, the medallion was made out of porcupine quills threaded. The shape of the design is a bear claw; the claws resemble that of the transgender flag, and the paw part is light purple. The edges of the circular medallion was laced in sinew wrapping around sweetgrass.

one year ago i was asked to participate in a crafters interview which didn’t get published. i was recently reminded of it as i remembered mentioning i was working on restoring a blanket.

thought i’d look it up today and decided to just publish it on my own, rounding it up with more thoughts on the blanket mending process.

fun fact! i discovered i submitted the interview and finished my blanket on the exact same day, one year apart!

Howdy, I'm a mixed-media artist of sorts. I enjoy making a variety of crafts, props, and costumes based on video games and original ideas. I like things that are neat, and I hope you think my stuff is too!
