Donncha Ó Caoimh<p>Coastal Adventure in West Cork</p><p>Just a few months shy of ten years ago, we’d visited Sherkin Island and as we were leaving I spotted a man on a RIB talking to two others on their dingy. Unfortunately, the expected nighttime display failed to materialise. It was raining for the first 20 miles or so, but then it cleared up and was nice and sunny. I especially enjoyed my time around Timoleague with the nice views of the abby and the surrounding waters. Michael<p>I took the opportunity to visit the spanish galleon Andalucía while it was docked in Cork harbor during my lunch hour last Monday. It was a neat replica that included an audio tour, some interesting diagrams and mock ups of various rooms with period authentic furniture. Donncha Ó Caoimh<p>The sun had set by the time I got into the city to photograph the Andalucía. Twenty minutes earlier, the sun was shining on it and made for a spectacular photo.</p><p>I made a bracketed shot from further down the quay because there were bright lights on the front of the boat that would make a shot from that side difficult. Michael<p>I was fortunate to get a ticket to the Munster Senior Hurling Championship (Cork vs Waterford) last Sunday. It was a close game for most of the time, but Cork ended up pulling away at the end.</p><p>It was my second live <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/hurling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hurling</span></a> game, and the first in the stands w/ a dedicated seat (vs. bleachers).
