Ganga<p>Cookbook browsing today ....</p><p>A small booklet I downloaded off the web.</p><p>Food Memories of Migrant Women, by Mumbai Mobile Creches</p><p>Migrants in India are people who have moved from rural to urban areas, temporarily or permanently, looking for better opportunities and a more sustainable livelihood.</p><p>For example, India’s construction industry depends on migrant workers. The wives who accompany them are likely to work at the construction site or elsewhere. With migration, many of these women leave behind the secrets of their regional cuisine, carrying only the memories associated with their food with them.</p><p>This book captures a few recipes from those women, mainly yummy snacks and recipes you may not find in cookbooks. </p><p>This link will download the cookbook: <a href="http://mumbaimobilecreches.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/MMC-Cookbook.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">http://</span><span class="ellipsis">mumbaimobilecreches.org/wp-con</span><span class="invisible">tent/uploads/2018/10/MMC-Cookbook.pdf</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/CookbookBrowsing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CookbookBrowsing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Coobooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Coobooks</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/IndianFood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IndianFood</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Vegetarian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Vegetarian</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Food" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Food</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/FoodMemoriesOfMigrantWomen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FoodMemoriesOfMigrantWomen</span></a></p>

Ganga<p>Cookbook browsing.....</p><p>PARTY!</p><p>A book released in the 1990's to aid the AIDS Council of Victoria, and bring joy to people in this frightening era.</p><p>"Not since angels first went horseback has there been such uninhibited celebration of the way we do the thing we all do best: get down and party! So pack away the curried prawns and aunty's pav with the organza memories of parties past - and welcome the turn of the millennium. The people who put this cook book together did it for free - but they didn't do it for nothing."</p><p>I picked this up in a second hand shop a long time ago. Ganga<p>Cookbook browsing today.....</p><p>In Good Company: Simple, Generous Recipes and Ideas for Get Togethers and Good Times, by Sophie Hansen</p><p>I quite like Sophie's books, full of great Australian country food. And they are always about bringing people together and/or connecting with people. Her recipe for Nasturtium Pesto in this book is out of this world! Thanks Sophie.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/CookbookBrowsing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CookbookBrowsing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Food" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Food</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/AustralianFood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AustralianFood</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/AustralianAuthor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AustralianAuthor</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Cookbooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Cookbooks</span></a></p>
Ganga<p>Cookbook browsing today ....</p><p>The Yoghurt Cookbook, by Arto der Haroutunian. Arto is famous for his Middle Eastern cookbooks, and this one features recipes from that region. It is the sort of book Ottolenghi would have read to extend his love of yoghurt-incorporated dishes.</p><p>An excellent book as are all of Arto's. Not vegetarian but with excellent vegetarian recipes.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/CookbookBrowsing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CookbookBrowsing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Cookbooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Cookbooks</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/ArtoDerHaroutunian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ArtoDerHaroutunian</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/TheYogurtCookbook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TheYogurtCookbook</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/food" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>food</span></a></p>
