Strain over a large rock of clear ice, express lemon peel, and garnish. I saw this from IG highproofpreacher and felt compelled to try it immediately. As he said, it's a weird one! But it was delightful and confusing on my tongue all at the same time. Sweetness from orgeat followed by the herbal notes and finishing with smokiness, it defies categorization. I chose a slightly higher proof mezcal from Alipús at 47.5% which stood up nicely to the Chartreuse and fat pour of orgeat.
