Allie (She/Her/Elle)<p>The first Bike Summer Ride for Intersectional Genital Autonomy w/Genital Autonomy Collective this year went great! Met some lovely folks who want to help out with the cause and it was a comfortable ride! I'd like to have some apparel for the future ones to really make them a visual resistance effort! Like a bike flag from a local store that I'm in talks of getting made. </p><p>I also hope to get an event calendar up on the GAC website for these events to be compiled.</p><p>Will be hosting two more group rides this year, event details at shift2bike!<br><a href="https://www.shift2bikes.org/calendar/event-21393" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">shift2bikes.org/calendar/event</span><span class="invisible">-21393</span></a><br><a href="https://www.shift2bikes.org/calendar/event-21394" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">shift2bikes.org/calendar/event</span><span class="invisible">-21394</span></a></p><p><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/genitalautonomy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>genitalautonomy</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/intactivism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>intactivism</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/intersex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>intersex</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/trans" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>trans</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/transgender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>transgender</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/CGM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CGM</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/MGM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MGM</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/IGM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IGM</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/FGM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FGM</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/genitalintegrity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>genitalintegrity</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/circumcision" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>circumcision</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/intactglobal2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>intactglobal2025</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/intactglobal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>intactglobal</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/hadachekvoregon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hadachekvoregon</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/GAC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GAC</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/bodilyautonomy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bodilyautonomy</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/childgenitalcutting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>childgenitalcutting</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/cgc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cgc</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/mgc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mgc</span></a><br><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/fgc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fgc</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/igc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>igc</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/activism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>activism</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/lgbtq" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lgbtq</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/queer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>queer</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/groupride" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>groupride</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/bikesummer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bikesummer</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/PedalpaloozaPDX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PedalpaloozaPDX</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/pdx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pdx</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/pdxbikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pdxbikes</span></a></p>
Sheldon<p>Quick review of 2 non-prescription CGMs (continuous glucose monitors). For the past few months I've been wearing either the Abbott Lingo or the Dexcomm Stelo <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/CGM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CGM</span></a>.</p><p>Priced similarly, both are for "non-clinical" use, but Lingo's more of a lifestyle device and Stelo's better for mild <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/diabetes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diabetes</span></a>. Both use algorithms to smooth what has to be very noisy readings, but to different degrees.</p><p>The Lingo's approach is more sensitive. It's much more likely to reveal unexpected spikes or drops. It's also erratic. You get live readings that are sometimes way off. It tells you whatever it thinks it sees.</p><p>The Stelo is more conservative. It has an opinion and only reports numbers after 15 minutes after it's crunched the data. Results are much closer to my glucometer, but misses sharp changes as it smooths out unexpected results (I exercise hard).</p><p>The <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Stelo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Stelo</span></a> also shares data with Apple Health &amp; other apps for further tracking. The Lingo was interesting, but the Stelo meets my everyday (mild) diabetic control needs more.</p>

Allie (She/Her/Elle)<p>Huge thanks to Dinux for donating a canopy to The Genital Autonomy Collective! 💛💜 This increases accessibility tabling at events like Pride to raise awareness for Hadachek v. Oregon, a case fighting to expand the genital cutting ban to all children, including circumcision of those assigned male at birth and intersex kids.</p><p>This case has deep implications for trans, intersex, and gender-diverse folks. At a local café and the staff were talking in support about Hadachek v. Oregon and Intact Global's challenge to expand protection from child genital cutting to all children including preventing circumcision of boys and intersex surgeries.

People are talking in support of genital autonomy this is not a fringe issue, less than 1 in 10 children are genitally cut in Oregon, and Oregonians are happy to fight for the rights of all children!

Exerpt from my speech:
"I’ve been speaking up against child genital cutting for almost a decade with limited success until I moved here. Portland, Oregon really became my home because we also talk to neighbors here, and we know them. We know that they’re exceptionally diverse, and I believe we’re proud to fight for human rights because we know that. [Pause]
Many people assume that I was not affected by childhood genital cutting, but childhood genital cutting, including circumcision, affects more than just boys and men."

# Hadachek v. Oregon Intact Global 2025 Press Conference
Please let me know if you find more news coverage on this. We at the Genital Autonomy Collective spoke about intersectionality at the Intact Global 2025 press conference and hopefully some of the news will also mention that. The Hadacheck v. Oregon case will expand opportunities for trans, intersex, and gender diverse people in ways that more people need to be aware of. Circumcision impacts gender affirming surgery options, and impacts our freedom as well, and we're fighting with the broader genital autonomy movement for our shared rights.

An excerpt from my speech:
"Genital cutting is often talked about in the categories of male, female, and intersex, but those categories are not distinct in reality. People inherently defy those arbitrary boundaries. Because of this, many of the children assigned male at birth and subjected to penile circumcision, or other childhood genital cutting, are transgender, intersex, and otherwise gender-diverse
... Circumcision, by removing genital tissue and creating scars, physically limits options for adults seeking genital surgery. This stands in the way of our freedom to make the choice for ourselves as adults just like it does for boys and men. We are working with the intactivist movement for our shared freedom." youtube.com/live/S4-Cva6dVu4?s

With attention and advocacy opportunities the challenge is bringing, The Genital Autonomy Collective is in need of more volunteers to help. Please message me if you're interested in supporting intersectional genital autonomy for all children in Oregon. While we welcome help of all kinds, we specifically need help with: Graphic design, web design, contacts with press, fundraising, social media management, writing, non profit experience, academic research opportunities, tabling events, etc.

Intact Global is also looking for Intersex plaintiffs who have experienced Intersex related genital cutting in Oregon at any date to add to the Equal Protection Challenge against forced, non-religious genital mutilation. As well as trans plaintiffs who have experienced penile circumcision in Oregon to add to the legal challenge.

Please email me at Allie@autonomycollective.org if you'd like to come forward as a plaintiff or are interested in volunteering. If you're in need of support on violated genital autonomy or would like to help advocate you can join a group at our website: autonomycollective.org/groups.

A fascinating area: Immunomodulation to prevent / slow onset of Type 1 Diabetes.

The technology to manage established diabetes is really good now (if can afford it) - I'm thinking #CGM #pumps #loops

Given that, is immunomodulation worth the risk from its adverse events?

(to avoid doubt, I'm not arguing against it, especially if #immunomodulation can prevent #T1D outright, but we maybe in a grey zone at present). #medicine #MedMastodon #diabetes #type1diabetes

@Mary625 @greeblehaus Love the Libre 3. Been on it since it basically released. It’s tiny, and so far, it’s been reliable. When high, at least for me, it tends to read a little higher than my BG meter, but still within 10% of error for the most part. Adhesive is better than the 2, I almost never use an overpatch. Have had no problem with them lasting the entire 2 weeks.

Type1Toucan on etsy makes cool decorative stickers for them! I have Winnie The Pooh on my current one.
