Off to my long-running SF book group for the first time since the surgery. Annoyingly regular venue booked out for event, although fortunately someone found another, but it is on the far side of town from me.

1. About a week ago I tooted that I was thinking of starting a #NonFiction #bookgroup on #Mastodon and asked you to tell me THE book that everyone must read.
Several very kind people did nominate a book and I have thrown one in myself.
The criteria were:
1 The book must be in English (I am on a UK instance)
2 The book must be available in paperback to be #library #secondhand & wallet friendly.
