"This problem [immigration] isn't going to go away. With #climatechange and emergencies, there's going to be huge population shifts in the decades to come, and the idea that we can be Fortress Britain and Fortress Europe is for the birds. We need international cooperation to deal with what are going to be seismic shifts in a mature way that puts humanity at its heart rather than dumbing down to the most reactionary politics available" - Mark Serwotka #BbcQuestionTime

#BbcQuestionTime closes in high emotion with a lady in the audience shouting "Do something" about #Gaza to Heidi Alexander who, in a wavering voice, says that she is sickened by the seeing the images of the poor #palestinians

As a mother, as a woman, as a human, Heidi is probably very upset

As a politician, she can do fuck all because her boss is no damn good

Ava Evans points out the #Capitalist hell on #BbcQuestionTime when discussing #f35 component parts and jets and #Gaza

"It's not good enough. .. There are many things the government could do for example there are these F 35 jets David Lammy in the Commons just a couple of weeks ago was saying we can't stop the licences on those because we sell components and that would disrupt global supply chains. Can you believe we are talking about global supply chains when 1,000s of children are dying?"

The arse of tonight's #BbcQuestionTime is Tim Montgomery

"Law and Order has to be prioriritised"

""Antisemitic comments made on hate marches in London"

"Fare dodgers on the Tube"

Etc

I am not sure if he has a speech impediment or if he is pissed out of his face.

Ava Evans comes within a hair's width of slandering Wes Streeting on tonight's #BbcQuestionTime as she rightly asks the audience to be wary of politicians who suggest private health care practices are a solution to the the stress and strain of the #NHS

Power to her xx

Over the last 37 episodes this year, #BbcQuestionTime has welcomed 169 guests. However, there was little in the way of balance in the panellists.

Of those 169 guests, only 61 were female, just over a third at 36%.

The figure is even starker for BAME guests with a mere 23 appearing in the same period, or 13.6%.

Sonia Sodha also speaks about Israel's right to defend herself on #BbcQuestionTime

She goes on to give a pointless resume of where we are at, but she condemns nothing

Peter Kyle "I'm on record as well acknowledging Israel's right to retaliate and make safe its country and its people. .... We implore Israel to stop and allow aid in ..... all of our efforts are going into our international relationships

#BbcQuestionTime last night mentioned the #gazagenocide Tory Huddlesdstone started ...

Look, I will always defend Israel's right to defend itself....

And then went on to say Hamas is using hunan shields. ....

He is asked by Bruce if Genocide is is occurring ....

He then says Hamas could hand over the hostages tomorrow ....

Broadcaster Sonia Sodha said on last night's ##BbcQuestionTime "I think using an expression like immigration had caused incalculable damage is buying into the same rhetoric as the popular right uses to scapegoat all that is going wrong, the economy and with society, and that isn't good enough from our Prime Minister."

Bruce asks Peter Kyle on #BbcQuestionTime
"Are you confident there will not be a shortfall in people working in #SocialCare as a result of your [immigration] measures?"

He replies, "I am confident we will be able to recruit for these places."

To that, she says, "Even though they have tried everything, they have raised salaries, they have put ads outs."

"We will be raising the prestige of a care worker"

That's OK, then #eyesroll

Lady on #BBCQUESTIONTIME

"What you [#Labour] has done in the last 12 months has completely betrayed the people that voted for you, people that wanted change, the hard working people, the kind hearted, people who wanted a good life for everyone but what you've done is give us Tory lite. What we're saying to you is, no, go more to the left. That's what we want. Why is it that in the last 12 months, we have seen you target the disabled, the poor, the old, the vulnerable. They are your electorate"

Chris Bryant (Lab) said on tonight's ##BBCQuestionTime that "No one will lose any of their PIP" Then, a few minutes later, he says, "perhaps some people will lose lose 10%" and then he says this will "happen in 2026 or in 2029"

Chris is a member of the government
