Así va mi proyecto de actualización del router WiFi en mi departamento. Tuve que "entrar a picar" para instalar un pequeño extractor noctua, muy silencioso, en la tapa de la carcasa. También hice un pequeño script para controlar la velocidad y así quede aún más silencioso.

@ClickyMcTicker @FoxVK @br00t4c Pretty shure that the entire system parts are less than $20 when they make like 10k.

It'll lilely be on par with a #Pi0W2 or similar #SBC abeit with maybe two cheap PCIe NICs and a Ethernet Switch on it.

  • Certainly much cheaper than the first #BananaPi #Router board since a lot of stuff could just be axed from it...

Even if it had Per-LED addressable RGBWs those would be like ~$0,10 on a reel of 5k, so just wasted money, but I'm shure it'll likely not even have that but simple, voltage-controlled RGB-LEDs that cost less than half of that if it has RGB at all beyond preset colours, which could be done even cheaper with EL Wire strips...

Either way it should cost them less than $50 to get it packed, shipped and distributed for display on brick & mortar retail shelves with all the regulatory crap and customs done...
