Simon B<p>My teenage self was really keen on egyptology and computer games and the author generated a lot of hype about "Tale of Anubus" with teaser ads and screenshots. I got super excited and in my mind, this game became the best thing ever. <br>I even found the author's address and wrote to him, and received a reply on cool watermarked paper. <br>Alas the game never saw light of day, and we never even saw a development release. So it remains the "best game never", <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/acorn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>acorn</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/archimedes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>archimedes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gaming</span></a></p>
