Apple Notes collapsed headers freaking out when I type on a single line.
I like #AppleNotes collapsing sections but formatting in general in Apple Notes feels clunky and weird. In an era of "markdown is everywhere" I wish we could use MD in Notes and do away with some of this madness.

Is it to much of an ask to have Apple Notes to support Markdown?!

The family computer needs replacing. I thought I would move away from Apple. However, my wife and son would like to stay within the Apple ecosystem. Here's what I have come up with so far.
Obviously, the prices and hardware could change by the time I make the purchase.
#AppleNotes really needs native Markdown support. Been trying to get a markdown url link to append into an Apple Note corectly without success. Same shortcut to put it into a Craft note took less than 2 minutes and it just works...
Toying with the idea of migrating to #Obsidian. I've imported a couple notebooks from #Evernote to #AppleNotes, but I have 2 years of data on Notion that can't be imported there. Also, Apple Notes on Windows via iCloud web interface does not handle images. Most of my work note-taking involves screenshots.
Orange link text on a white background is possibly the least readable, most inaccessible design choice ever made on a mainstream product from a beloved company that’s practically worshipped for its design savvy. #AppleNotes, please do better. 
YEARS back before Evernote was stripped for parts I used to use my ScanSnap to dump scans directly into it.
I missed that and built a free little script to do the same in #AppleNotes
Did you know that #AppleReminders is sort of a secret power tool for projects and todos?
It even has a kanban view.
And clicking any one of those icons on the reminders shown? Opens the project note in #AppleNotes. Easy. Simple built in tools.
Apple Reminders > View Menu > as Columns (you can make new columns which show up as sections in list view)
Unbelievable. #AppleShortcuts cannot search #AppleNotes if any matched note has a tag.
Regression bugs happen but I feel like maybe this one should have been caught by a test suite. It's pretty basic (can apple shortcuts search apple notes for a note that has a tag without just totally choking).
So I’ve been trying to use Apple Notes as my notes “Brain” so to say. I keep finding myself wanting to go back to Notion due to the lack of functionality in Apple Notes.
I’m thinking about switching apps. What does everyone use as their go to note taking/organizing app?
Some that I’m considering is Drafts, Bear, and Obsidian.

If you use #AppleNotes (very handy, love it) but, like me, don't love that it's a data silo, you can, like me, use the app "Exporter" to back them up to markdown text files. One of the things I'm most excited for in the upcoming Apple OS releases is code blocks in #AppleNotes.
