UA🇺🇦: Останні три роки я спостерігаю цей вид з вікна університету. Іноді небоскреби зникають у тумані, іноді - в сніговій мряці. Бувають дні з кришталево прозорим небом і вечори, коли місто виглядає майже гостинно.
Залишився ще місяць - і далі суцільна невідомість. Колись я думала, що випуск принесе мені щось на кшталт ейфорії: впевненість у собі, натхнення, нові мрії. А зараз - закінчу і добре. Може, хоч висплюся.

Typing enthusiasts say goodbye to Massachusetts' last typewriter shop

Typewriters are often especially attractive to digital natives. Max Hekler is an English teacher who said using typewriters in the classroom often helps his students maintain focus.

"I had a couple of kids... who just couldn't sit down, but nevertheless had to do this project. So I brought in the typewriter and I suggested to one of them, 'Hey, why don't you try writing your story on the typewriter?' Kid sat down for 80 minutes straight and didn't even get up," Hekler said. "I've never had 12th grade boys in the springtime fighting over who gets to write next. I was like, 'there's something to this!'"

I built myself a medium format camera with spare camera parts and some stuff from aliexpress. It's still missing a proper grip and focus markings. Designing the body so the focus tube focuses exactly to infinity at its shortest was too difficult with 3d printed tolerances, so I left a millimeter of room and will just adjust the focus markings accordingly.

UA🇺🇦: У Міннеаполісі та Сент-Полі можна гуляти взимку, не виходячи на вулицю. Тут є система скайвеїв - скляних переходів між будівлями, на другому поверсі. Колись вони здавалися футуристичними, тепер, радше залишком минулого. Зручно, але трохи дивно. Наче місто побудоване не для людей, а для того, щоб уникати погоди і одне одного.

Not sure WHERE this was or WHEN this was… but I want to go back there and stay there.

I’m guessing it’s around 1984, as there are fresh copies of Echo And The Bunnymen’s Ocean Rain on display.

I want three network channels, newspapers, no internet, and record stores fucking everywhere.

Doesn’t seem like a lot to ask.
