If all people get to know, is that it's a cow, then they don't know if it's a cow calmly grazing in a green field with her calf suckling or a cow in an abattoir (slaughterhouse).The details matter & I'm sure make things more vibrant & interesting so a big 🥳 thanks to those who do use the old Alt text to best advantage 🎉.

Der Altbot ist zweifelsohne ein super Tool, aber der Workflow stört mich ein bisschen vor allem weil ich unter GoToSocial die Alttexte im Nachhinein nicht mehr ändern kann. Kennt jemand von euch ein Tool (für Linux) oder nen Webservice um Alt Texts in der Qualität des Altbots im Vorfeld zu erstellen. Bisher habe ich das mit ChatGPT gemacht, aber vielleicht gibt es da besseres. Ich habe auch noch viele Bilder in meinem Blog die nen Alt Text vertragen könnten. I can't even connect to it anymore.Altbot is back online now but running on backup infrastructure (aka "crutches"). Between being sick with a fever and my car's A/C deciding to break (several thousand $ to fix :/), it's been a rough week to say the least. I really need to upgrade Altbot to a more reliable VPS setup. Mi spiego: ci siamo abituati a usare queste piattaforme (ma anche il resto di internet assieme alle nostre vite) in modalità speed boost, tutto dev'essere immediato, veloce e passeggero. Tanto che l'aggiunta dell'alt text risulta per molti una seccatura o una perdita di tempo da demandare a un altbot che lo fa male sprecando risorse. Quando dovrebbe essere un azione utile da fare con calma e attenzione, che aggiunge senso e contenuti al post.
