Travis Jeans<p>I modified Adwaita to try make the four Windows 10/11 High Contrast themes in Linux. The window theme is for XFCE so far. Happy to hear feedback, I'm sure there are more bugs in a desktop theme than a cursor theme. Available on Open Desktop and my website.<br><a href="https://futurehorizondesign.net.au/portfolio/highcontrastwindows11themes.html" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">futurehorizondesign.net.au/por</span><span class="invisible">tfolio/highcontrastwindows11themes.html</span></a><br><a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/foss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>foss</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>opensource</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>windows</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/accessibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>accessibility</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/a11y" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>a11y</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/accessible" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>accessible</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/ui" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ui</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/uidesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>uidesign</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/xfce" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>xfce</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/freesoftware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>freesoftware</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/adwaita" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>adwaita</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/gtk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gtk</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>debian</span></a> <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/gui" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gui</span></a></p>
Lynnesbæn :bune_ylw:<p>if there are any <a href="https://fedi.lynnesbian.space/tags/GNOME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GNOME</span></a> designers/artists (gnomes? gnome heads? gnomish sourcerers? gnaphic gnesigners?) seeing this, does it comply with the HIG in your opinion? what would you suggest changing if not?</p><p>the cheesecrater icon uses the standard rustacean image, which doesn't have that smooth, rounded look the HIG usually suggests, but i lack the skill to make a "blobby" version of ferris. :ferris_og: </p><p>the crates browser, with its triple-pane layout (third screenshot), is the most complicated of them, but it's based on the design of the crates.io website, which displays the readme alongside a right-aligned "metadata" pane.</p><p>(also: either it's very hard to write descriptive alt text for UI design screenshots, or i am very bad at it. possibly both.)</p><p><a href="https://fedi.lynnesbian.space/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://fedi.lynnesbian.space/tags/adwaita" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>adwaita</span></a></p>
István<p>Hey gnome folks!</p><p>I have some free time and want to start out learning to build libadwaita apps. Where do I even start? Is there anyone here who started gnome app development recently and still remembers how they got started?
