I didn’t just lose my mother—I lost my FAMILY. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, SIBLINGS. &amp; they lost ME. I have 2 brothers &amp; a sister I didn’t know existed until I was 50+ yrs old. We ALL lost 5 decades we can never get back. Sadly, he had died in 1997, so I’ll never know him. I try very hard not to speculate about What Could Have Been had my mother simply given me to my father instead of abandoning me to strangers, &amp; I’m usually successful in that regard, but some things are easier to shrug off than others. This thing?
