Yohan Yukiya Sese Cuneta 사요한🦣A question for autistic writers
Yohan Yukiya Sese Cuneta 사요한🦣<p>A good read: <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2023/02/07/neuroscientist-shares-coveted-skills-that-set-introverts-apart-their-brains-work-differently.html" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">cnbc.com/2023/02/07/neuroscien</span><span class="invisible">tist-shares-coveted-skills-that-set-introverts-apart-their-brains-work-differently.html</span></a></p><p>To quote two:<br>“If your workplace is dominated by extroverts who criticize those who prefer to work alone — or skip after-work cocktails — as “not team players,” it may inadvertently alienate gifted people.”</p><p>“there is no difference in conforming responses given to high- and low-pressure levels by introverts.”</p><p>It feels like they described <a href="https://c.im/tags/autistic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>autistic</span></a> me. Then again, I'm an <a href="https://c.im/tags/INFP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>INFP</span></a> ( / <a href="https://c.im/tags/Introvert" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Introvert</span></a>) type of autistic, so it fits.</p><p>In addition, I experienced that “not team players” from some managers from a certain company years ago. I don't join after-work cocktails, or any party, and was branded as “not a team player” by some of those in position. I was actually very glad I did not because I later found out they force people to drink, and I can't because I have <a href="https://c.im/tags/gout" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gout</span></a> (other than the fact, you can't make me drink if I don't want to).</p><p>Anyway. What about you, my fellow <a href="https://c.im/tags/ActuallyAutistics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ActuallyAutistics</span></a>? Or, are you an extrovert autistic yet still find similarities from the article and studies mentioned in it?</p><p>=&gt; Source and originally shared by: <a href="https://boing.world/@denny/112009527257501232" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">boing.world/@denny/11200952725</span><span class="invisible">7501232</span></a></p><p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fedigroups.social/@autistics" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>autistics@fedigroups.social</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/actuallyautistic" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>actuallyautistic</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://chirp.social/@autistics" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>autistics@chirp.social</span></a></span></p>

I used to run a public <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/friendica" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Friendica</a> instance for the Philippines, and had my own solo <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/hubzilla" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Hubzilla</a> instance. My first was Book 5 of the original <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/cyoa" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CYOA</a> entitled, “The Mystery of Chimney Rock” when I was around four (I still have the book somewhere with a missing cover). By fourteen, I enjoyed reading a non-fiction book entitled simply as “Brain”, and dreamed of becoming a neuroscientist, which sadly remained a dream.<br><br>My longest read were <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/peterfhamilton" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PeterFHamilton</a>'s “Pandora's Star” and “Judas Unchained” (more or less 1,000 pages each). My number one favourite is <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/lynnkurland" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LynnKurland</a>'s “Dreams of Stardust” (I even bought every copy I saw and gave it away).<br><br>When it comes to genre, I read anything. In the classics, I love <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/janeeyre" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#JaneEyre</a> by Charlotte Brontë. I also read <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/neilgaiman" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#NeilGaiman</a>'s “American Gods”. But I do have genres I favour more than others: <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/sciencefiction" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ScienceFiction</a> and <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/fantasy" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Fantasy</a>. To be more specific, science fiction and fantasy with <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/timetravel" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TimeTravel</a> and <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/parallelworld" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ParallelWorld</a> elements, if the author can combine it together, even better (like Lynn Kurland's novels: <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/scifi" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#scifi</a> + fantasy + <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/romance" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#romance</a> and sometimes with <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/paranormal" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#paranormal</a> too).<br><br>That said, my taste in live-action shows is somewhat similar. And the more complex and/or engaging the story is, the more I love it. Some examples are:<br><br>(in no particular order)<br><br>* <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/grid" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Grid</a> (#그리드) – <a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EA%B7%B8%EB%A6%AC%EB%93%9C-grid-explained-2022116/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EA%B7%B8%EB%A6%AC%EB%93%9C-grid-explained-2022116/</a><br><br>* <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/sisyphusthemyth" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#SisyphusTheMyth</a> (#시지프스TheMyth) – <a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EC%8B%9C%EC%A7%80%ED%94%84%EC%8A%A4-sisyphus-the-myth-2021-explained-logically-2021100/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EC%8B%9C%EC%A7%80%ED%94%84%EC%8A%A4-sisyphus-the-myth-2021-explained-logically-2021100/</a><br><br>* <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/alphagateway" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AlphaGateway</a> (#TheGateway) – <a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/alpha-gateway-2018-parallel-worlds-explained-201956/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/alpha-gateway-2018-parallel-worlds-explained-201956/</a><br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/sports" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Sports</a>. I am also planning on doing <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/cycling" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#cycling</a> again (my last was during my High School years). My first love was <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/football" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#football</a>, or what Americans call <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/soccer" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#soccer</a>. A must.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/games" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Games</a>? This one is a long history. Who doesn't love games, right? To sum it up, I started with Nintendo's “Game &amp; Watch”, then “Family Computer”. I also was able to experience playing in Atari and MSX; as well as table-top <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/arcade" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#arcade</a> machines. My favourite games are: “Super Mario Bros.”, “#Bomberman”. My first was Book 5 of the original </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/CYOA" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CYOA</a><span> entitled, “The Mystery of Chimney Rock” when I was around four (I still have the book somewhere with a missing cover). By fourteen, I enjoyed reading a non-fiction book entitled simply as “Brain”, and dreamed of becoming a neuroscientist, which sadly remained a dream.<br><br>My longest read were </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/PeterFHamilton" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PeterFHamilton</a><span>'s “Pandora's Star” and “Judas Unchained” (more or less 1,000 pages each). My number one favourite is </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/LynnKurland" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LynnKurland</a><span>'s “Dreams of Stardust” (I even bought every copy I saw and gave it away).<br><br>When it comes to genre, I read anything. In the classics, I love </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/JaneEyre" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#JaneEyre</a><span> by Charlotte Brontë. I also read </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/NeilGaiman" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#NeilGaiman</a><span>'s “American Gods”. But I do have genres I favour more than others: </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/ScienceFiction" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ScienceFiction</a><span> and </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/Fantasy" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Fantasy</a><span>. To be more specific, science fiction and fantasy with </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/TimeTravel" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TimeTravel</a><span> and </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/ParallelWorld" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ParallelWorld</a><span> elements, if the author can combine it together, even better (like Lynn Kurland's novels: </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/scifi" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#scifi</a><span> + fantasy + </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/romance" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#romance</a><span> and sometimes with </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/paranormal" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#paranormal</a><span> too).<br><br>That said, my taste in live-action shows is somewhat similar. And the more complex and/or engaging the story is, the more I love it. Some examples are:<br><br>(in no particular order)<br><br>* </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/Grid" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Grid</a><span> (</span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/그리드" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#그리드</a><span>) – </span><a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EA%B7%B8%EB%A6%AC%EB%93%9C-grid-explained-2022116/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EA%B7%B8%EB%A6%AC%EB%93%9C-grid-explained-2022116/</a><span><br><br>* </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/SisyphusTheMyth" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#SisyphusTheMyth</a><span> (</span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/시지프스TheMyth" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#시지프스TheMyth</a><span>) – </span><a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EC%8B%9C%EC%A7%80%ED%94%84%EC%8A%A4-sisyphus-the-myth-2021-explained-logically-2021100/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EC%8B%9C%EC%A7%80%ED%94%84%EC%8A%A4-sisyphus-the-myth-2021-explained-logically-2021100/</a><span><br><br>* </span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/AlphaGateway" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AlphaGateway</a><span> (</span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/TheGateway" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TheGateway</a><span>) – </span><a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/alpha-gateway-2018-parallel-worlds-explained-201956/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/alpha-gateway-2018-parallel-worlds-explained-201956/</a><span><br><br></span><a href="https://hashi.icu/tags/Sports" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Sports</a><span>.
