I know myself (in my younger years), my daughter, and some of her friends have NEVER been regular 28-day cycles. Mine used to run 5-6 weeks, on average, and were rarely predictable. My daughter has hers more frequently than 28 days (when she is not on the Pill). </p><p>It also requires a woman not have a missed period while not pregnant, or a period while pregnant. These are also not uncommon scenarios for many women. Over the years, I would often randomly miss one or two (in a row). </p><p>During my last pregnancy, I had no period for two months before getting pregnant (not unusual for me), then a small period while pregnant.
