So 3 of us need to stay in Aberystwyth this Friday night for a look at the uni on Saturday - can anyone recommend a nice quiet place around #aberystwyth ? Prob arriving late Friday and then offski on Sat morning. We'd be happy in a couple of tents tbh, as long as its not too noisy! #wales

Researchers at #Aberystwyth University presented their new research at the @royalastrosoc National #Astronomy Meeting in Hull. The study says it’s now possible to predict the precise speed at which a #CME travels and, therefore, accurately predict when a geomagnetic storm is due to begin. Solar ☀️ #physicists are expecting more powerful geomagnetic storms in the coming months. forbes.com/sites/jamiecartereu

Found myself thinking about Malcolm Pryce's Aberystwyth books for some reason ("Aberystwyth Mon Amour" and the rest), which I've not read since they were first published.

In a weird coincidence, there's a new one coming out in May ("A Streetcar Named Aberystwyth") and the first four are currently 99p each on Kindle. The other two are full price, which is slightly annoying as I haven't read those, but I picked up the rest to remind myself of the Welsh noir alternate reality of the stories, my paperback copies being long gone.

It would make an interesting RPG setting, if I could find a way to stop @lordof1 from doing the accent…
