Jeff Pummill
#ASPCA should really rethink both its message and its mission. While donating to feed starving animals is admirable, it’s a band-aid for the core issue! What is being done to stop animal abuse and cruelty? Do they aggressively pursue puppy mills? Hoarding situations? Do they actively advocate for animal rights at Federal, State, and Local levels?

Treat the disease…

(Google the article). Shame, shame, shame, seems very little of your donation goes to help animals. Instead, know what your donation funds and do what you can to support your local shelter.

The investigation also discovered that during the same time period the ASPCA spent nearly three times as much, at least $421 million, on fundraising costs.

Democracy Matters :verified:
CharityWatch, an organization that rates how well non-profits follow through on their promises to donors, gives the ASPCA a mediocre, “C.”

And with a rating like that, I’m confused why ASPCA’s CEO Matthew Bershadker received an annual salary of $800,000 in 2017 and $770,000 in 2018, while they make me watch suffering dogs and cats every night on television.

Maybe Matthew Bershadker should pledge fucking $12 per month.

#ASPCA #GradeC #SaveAnimals

Wallyapplebee 🌈 ☀️🌵
I’m all about caring for animals, and I give to rescue shelters, but lately I’ve noticed big push on tv for #ASPCA solicitations, so I looked up to see it’s rating as a charity to see if worthy of donation - 3 star is an ok rating, but CEO makes $852K per year and with bonus over $1M - so #ASPCA needs nearly 5,000 of us to donate $19 per month for a year just to pay their CEO’s salary, maybe I’m wrong to question?
